An Easter Prayer
Thank you Lord for Jesus! Thank you for his journey and the plan for his life. Thank you for the promise of Heaven. Without Jesus and without his crucifixion and resurrection I would not have that promise. Easter has never meant more to me then it does now. I never truely understood the power of Jesus' death and the joy of our everlasting life because of it, until now. Lord thank you for a beautiful girl who taught me just how much God loves me and will supply all I need. Thank you for changing my family's life, for making us stronger through you. And even though I'm a sinner and I mess us time and time again, thank you for always picking me back up when it gets tough. For showing me I can get through it with your guidance. And for never letting me be alone.
In Jesus name I pray
"I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes n me, though he may die, he shall live."
We met while working together at Old Navy in 2002. After 3 tries Carly finally agreed to a date and the rest is history! We are the very proud parents of 4 amazing children. Richard works full time as the General Manager of an Old Navy and also attends Liberty University, pursing his degree in Christian Ministries. Carly works full time as an elementary school counselor and loves to crochet...when she finds the time.
Noah is our 7 year old son. He has a love of all things Ninja Turtles. He wants to be a scientist when he grows up and he loves building robots and other fun things! Noah has a huge heart and always wants to help in our family's efforts to raise money for different cancer charities.
Ellie is the first of 3 girls, and has paved the way for all the Blaine Princesses. Ellie was diagnosed at the age of 2 with Pineoblastoma, a very rare brain cancer. Ellie adored all the princesses and the color pink! She had a huge smile and adorable dimples that could make the world a better place any time of day. Ellie's battle with cancer ended December 22, 2013, just before she turned 3. Ellie lives on in the hearts of the many lives she touched in her 1061 days. Because of her, we are always Princess Strong.
Sarah-Grace (aka SG) is our 2 year old daughter who was born almost 2 months after Ellie's cancer diagnosis. She was our calm amongst the chaos that our world had become. In fact for the first 9 months of her life she was the most easy going, calm baby. And after Ellie passed away, this little lady took over full force! She is now sassy, energetic, and in no way the girly girl her older sister was! She loves ninja turtles like her brother, but also loves Elsa! She keeps us moving and laughing and continually teaches us to take a deep breath!
Lulah came to join our family in October of 2014. Lulah has the sweetest disposition and smile. She is calm and so snuggly. She is a constant reminder of God's grace.
